APF club and Buddha Yuva Club (BYC) who participated for the first time in the 32nd Triveni Cup football tournament being held at Bansi Sahar in Lamjung, have reached the Voteodar final. APF beat host Triveni Yuva Club 2-1 at Sahaji Stadium on Friday. APF had earlier lifted the 7th Rhino Gold Cup held in Nawalpur.
APF captain Hari Karki scored in the 20th minute of the match against the hosts who had won the 27th and 28th Triveni Cup. Triveni's Sunil Khadka equalized the game by scoring in the 22nd minute of the second half. In the 43rd minute, APF's Pradeep Lama scored the decisive goal. Pradeep's goal tally has reached 6. He was out of the match.
In the second match which became very exciting, Buddha Yuva Club defeated Tokha Bhagwati Kathmandu in sudden death. No goal could be scored throughout the scheduled period. After scoring 4-4 in the tiebreaker, Buddha Yuva won in sudden death. Bhoteodar goalkeeper Krishal Moktan stopped Tokha's Sameer Tamang's shot in sudden death. BYC's Rajendra Gayre scored the decisive goal. Bhoteodar goalkeeper Krishal Moktan became the man of the match. The final match will be held on Saturday. The winner will win Rs 12 lakh in cash and the runner-up will win Rs 6 lakh.
