Organized by Tokha municipality, the second Bagmati state-level open taekwondo league is starting on Friday.
Prakash Adhikari, Mayor of Tokha Municipality, informed that the competition will be held in 5-5 weight groups for men/women in the league.
SKBC Taekwondo Dojang head coach Ranjit Dagoura said that around 300 players will participate. 10, 7 and 3 points will be awarded to the top three ranked athletes in the competition, which will be held with the technical support of Kathmandu District Coordination Committee and Wagmati Province Taekwondo Association. Coordinator of the coordination committee, Santosh Budhathoki, said that the medal winners in each weight group will be provided food/accommodation/transportation facilities in the next league. The game of
competition will be held in Ward 5 of Tokha municipality. The third edition of the league, which was started for a period of 3/3 months, will be held in February and the fourth edition in May. The first edition was held in August at Nagarjuna Covered Hall in Suchatar.
