Prof. Sanjay Lama's team has won the title of Surya Nepal Eastern Open Pro-Am. Sanjay's team won the title with 167 points at Dharan Golf Club on Saturday. Sanjay scored 41 and amateur golfer Bhuvnesh Limbu scored 43, Bina Sapkota scored 42 and Shyam Limbu scored 41.

Nepal's number one pro Bhuvan Nagarkoti's team finished second with 159 points. While Bhuvan scored 39 points, amateur golfers Bhim Dahal, Purna Bahadur Rai and Bal Bahadur Rai scored 40 points.

Pro Neeraj Tamang's team finished third with 155 points. Neeraj, who won the Eastern Open the previous day, scored 38 points. Amateur golfers Divas Tuladhar, Siddhant Sapkota and Sushma Singh scored equal 39 points. 

Bina Sapkota won the winner's award by scoring 42 points in the women's side. Sanjeev Chhetri won the award for longest drive on hole number 18 and Bhim Dahal won the award for closest to the pin on hole number 17. 

Nepal Golf Association Vice President Tilak Rai, Koshi Pradesh Golf Association Vice President Bharat Tamang and Dharan Golf Club Secretary Devraj Rai distributed the prizes to the winning players. 12 Pro and 48 Amateur players participated in the Pro-Am.

Neeraj equaled Shukra Bahadur Rai's total score and won the Eastern Open as the second title of his career.

Surya Nepal Western Open, the fourth tournament under Surya Nepal Golf Tour 2024/25, will be held next month at Himalayan Golf Course Pokhara.
