Four old players who started playing cricket in Itahari in the forties have been honored. Vinod Dewan, Sanjeev Dhungana, Pradeep Regmi and Kamlesh Poudel are among the honourees.

 He is the player who introduced cricket to Itahari for the first time in 2043. He was honored by Kasturi College of Management as a founding member of Itahari Cricket Team in the year 2043 in Itahari.

President of Kasturi College Ramchandra Adhikari honored them at the end of the inter-college cricket tournament held at Janata Cricket Ground, Itahari-9. Lilam Basnet, Pawan Khedia, members of the said team were absent.

Former cricketer Kamlesh Poudel, who is also the principal of Kasturi Academy, informed that some of the members of the Itahari cricket team, established in 2043, are abroad and some have passed away.
