The players of the winning team are Dicken Maharjan, Alex Maharjan, Allen Maharjan, Mizen Shakya and Nikesh Joshi. Jackie Maharjan is the team coach.
Ward 7 defeated Ward 8 by 3-1 in the finals held in Patan. Even though Ward 7 lost the first singles, they came back and won 3 consecutive singles matches.
In the first singles, Rubin Maharjan of Ward 8, who has participated in the Asian Games, defeated Dicken of Ward 7 in a set of 11-5, 11-7, 10-12, 11-4. In other singles, Ward 7's Alex beat Vipul Maharjan 11-8, 9-11, 11-5, 15-13, Ruvin 11-9, 11-8, 8-11, 11-7 and Allen beat Dnyaneshwar Maharjan 7-11. Lost in a set of 11-6, 11-5, 11-6.
Ward 17 won gold, Ward 8 won silver and Ward 19 and 16 won bronze in the women's team event organized by Lalitpur Metropolitan Municipality Ward 9. In the men's veteran team event, Ward 20 was first, Ward 16 was second and Ward 11 and 9 were third.
