The eleventh Falgunanda Gold Cup in Phidim will start from today in the semi-final stage. Today at 2:30 PM in the playing field of Fidim Mavi, the organizer Fidim Spotting Club and Church Boys Club Kathmandu will compete.
The host Phidim Sporting Club defeated Tribhuvan Army in the first quarter final and Church Boys Club defeated Biratnagar FC CT to reach the semi finals. Similarly, in the next semi-final match on Saturday, there will be a competition between NRT Kathmandu and Machindra Qub. 10 teams from Nepal and India participated in the competition which started on the 6th of Push.
Of which Tribhuvan Army Club, Karsang Football Club, Biratnagar CT Football Club Morang, Sahales Football Club Siraha and Jhapa have been eliminated from 11 games. The final of the competition will be held on the 15th of Push. In this year's Falgunanda Gold Cup, the winner will get Rs 10 lakh 555 and the runner-up will get Rs 5 lakh 555.
Falgunanda Gold Cup started in 2065 in memory of Nepal's 16th Vibhuti Falgunanda Lingden was suspended until 2075. After the completion of the tenth edition, it was postponed due to the collapse of the playground wall and the corona epidemic. The competition has been continued as the eleventh edition this year.
