Mallakhamba is a new game for Nepal. Many may not know about this game. So this game is not very popular in Nepal. But there is one player who is playing this game, Ujjwal Giri. Being a traditional game of the Indian subcontinent, this game is equally popular in India.

In this game, the player climbs a wooden pole and demonstrates his sporting skills.

Athletes climb a wooden pole and practice various postures. So it is a very difficult game in itself. It has been just over a year since Ujjwal started playing this game. He just turned 17. Even at this age, he has already played abroad twice. Once in Assam, India and once in Bhutan.

Ujjwal says, 'This is a new game for Nepal, so there is not much discussion about it. There is a great potential for this sport in India. He was equally interested in yoga and used to practice it. That is why he was helped to participate in Mallakhamba. He practices it daily.

Apart from Ujjwal Mallakhamba, he is a taekwondo and ski player. He participated in the National Cross Country Ski Championship held in Mustang in the year 2078. In that sense, he is active in three sports at the same time.
