In the Yonex Sunrise Nepal International Challenge, Malaysia won the title in three categories.
Malaysia won the men's doubles, women's doubles and mixed doubles titles. In men's doubles, Lau Yi Seng and Lee Yi Bo of Malaysia defeated Chanit Joshi and Mayank Rana of India by 21-14, 21-23, 21-17. In women's doubles, the pair of Kisona Selvadure and Yap Roo Chen won the title by defeating the pair of Thailand's Kodchaporn Chaichana and Pannavi Poliam 21-13, 21-14. In the final of
mixed doubles, the pair of Malaysia's Lau Yee Seng and Yap Roo Chen defeated the pair of Thailand's Nontakorn Thong On and Kodchaporn Chaichana 21-18, 21-11. In this event, the pair of Nepal's Prince Dahal and Rasila Maharjan won bronze. They were defeated by the Thai pair in the semi-finals.
In the men's singles challenge organized by Nepal Badminton Association, India's Meradaba Luwang Maisnam won the title by defeating India's BM Rahul Bharadwaj 21-17, 21-16.
Lalinrat Chaiwan of Thailand won the women's singles title. She defeated India's Ira Sharma 22-20, 21-12. The winner of each category received $1,200, second place $720 and third place $300.

Yonex Sunrise Nepal Junior International Series will be held from Friday. Players from India, New Zealand, Malaysia, Thailand, Iran, UAE will participate in the three-day series at the Covered Hall in Tripureshwar. 99 players will compete in 5 categories. 8 female and 8 male athletes from Nepal have participated in it.
