Defeat of former champion Dolakha Chase home

In the first round of the 7th Tulsilal Smriti Club Team Chess Championship, the Engineering College team suffered an unexpected defeat against the defending champion team.

Ashish Bhusal of the engineering team defeated the current Nepal champion Rajan Subedi, Sajan Kafle defeated Prakash Chandra Nepal and Samyak Shrestha defeated Pooja Bhandari, while Mahesh Khadka was defeated by CM Purushottam Chaulagai.

On the first day of the club team chess tournament which started at Tulsilal Memorial Institute in Lalitpur, the Lalitpur Municipal Corporation team scored 2 points by performing a good game. Metro FM Rupesh Jaiswal, CM Milan Lama, Purushottam Silwal and Abhik Sah won 4-0.

While adding 2 points, Godavari Municipality (Sanubhai Maharjan, Janardan Shrestha, Som Ale and Harshvardhan Rathi) won 4-0 against Himalayan Nexgen.

Nepal Buddhichal Federation and Lalitpur Sports Club organized the competition in collaboration with Tulsilal Foundation.

Koshi Pradesh Buddhichal Sangh won 4-0 over Himalayan Chess Academy. Muhan Narasimha Shrestha, Rajendra Rai, Susan Acharya and Kritisara Adhikari played from Koshi.

The host Lalitpur Sports Club also defeated Dynamic Chess Club Lahan with a score of 4-0. Organizers CM Sajin Maharjan, Shailendai Neupane, Rishon Thapa and Binita Kapali were in the game.

Former runners-up Bhaktapur District Intellectual Association, Dolakha District Intellectual Association, Thapathali Chess Park and Pulchok Engineering College team won. The Club Team Championship will be followed by 7 rounds of league matches, semi-finals and finals. The winner will get 200,000, the runner-up will get 120,000, the third will get 60,000 and the fourth team will get 40,000 while the best player of each board will get 10,000.
