A new working committee of the organizing organization "Lakhe Jatra Operation Committee" has been selected for the operation of the third edition of "Taplejung Gold Cup". After Devraj Gurung, who conducted two games, left, a working committee was selected under the leadership of Sagar Maden.

Maden informed that Ashok Thebe and Harkaraj Sunuwar were elected as vice presidents, Dilli Gurung as Tikendra Nepali joint secretary as secretary and Dawa Sherpa as treasurer. Utsav Sanwa, Dipesh Khawas, Jeet Thewe, Santosh Gurung, Jeevan Iwaram, Poorna Gurung, Kamal Lecharvo, Geeta  Palungwa  and Lakpa Sherpa have been selected. 

The football game organized on the occasion of Lakhejatra was postponed from 2077 to 79 due to corona infection. The competition, which started in 2009, was run under various names like Kanchenjunga, Pathibhara Gold Cup. In the year 080, it started again with the name Taplejung Gold Cup after 11 days of preparation. It was led by Gurung.
