The host James School has won the second Thunder Bolts Cup sports title. Based on the results of the final competition held on Tuesday, James became the champion by adding a total of 48 points.
AVM School won the second place and Nepal Police School won the third place. Although both the schools got the same 23 points, AVM came second on the basis of winning more gold.
James, who scored the most points while competing in 11 games, 28 categories, received 5 lakh rupees along with the Champions Cup. In the first edition too, James became the champion.
More than 140 schools and more than 4 thousand students participated in the 11-day competition from inside and outside the valley.
Youth and Sports Minister Tejulal Chaudhary presented medals and trophies to the winning students, winning teams and schools. On behalf of the
organizing school, Sports Director Saurabh Singh said that in the coming year, the competition will be organized bigger so that more schools will participate nationwide.
