Two Marvelous teams advanced to the semifinals Tuesday in the 13th Pabson Central Regional Basketball Tournament.

Marvelous beat Swapna Batika by 40-32 in Senior Boys. Rohit Dahal of Marvelous scored 15. Naveen Karki's 17 points inspired Marvelous to win over Awareness International Academy (AIA) by 45-28 in the junior boys' quarterfinals. 

In senior boys, AIA defeated Kathmandu Xaviers Public 39-31, Sunshine defeated Albert 82-18 and Hames defeated Akshara 46-26 to secure their place in the semi-finals. Subodh KC of AIA scored 16, Sonam Tamang of Sunshine scored 41 and Sushank Acharya of Hames scored 17.

In junior boys, Hames beat Spangle 28-16, Kathmandu Xaviers beat Asian Public 46-13 and Sunshine beat Little Flower 49-23 to make it to the semi-finals. Prenis Das of Hames scored 14 points, Anmol Kusuwar of Kathmandu Xaviers scored 26 points and Hrithik Giri of Sunshine scored 46 points.

In senior girls, Kathmandu Xaviers defeated Spangle 32-10, Asian Public defeated Srijanshil 12-4, Liverpool defeated Swapn Vatika 12-7 and Innovative defeated Chaitanya Shiksha Sanskar 19-6 to reach the semi-finals. Dipranja Bohra of Kathmandu Xaviers scored 18, Akriti Majhi of Asian Public scored 5, Marfina Gurung of Liverpool scored 4 and Vidya Kumal of Innovative scored 6.

The semi-final match will be held at Liverpool School. Earlier, Junior Boys and Senior Girls matches were held at Kathmandu Xavier's.
