Women's soccer team honored

Bhotekoshi rural municipality Sindhupalchok honored the runners-up of the SAFF Women's Football Championship with cash.

On the occasion of the President's Running Shield, the rural municipality honored 26 people including 23 players and 3 coaches with a total of 1.3 million rupees on Monday.

Pasang Sherpa, chairman of rural municipality, handed over a check equal to that amount to Pema Dolma Lama, president of Nepal Women's Football Association and former member of National Sports Council. The rural municipality honored the team on the initiative of Pema Dolma Lama.

On the same occasion, Yukti Foundation handed over sanitary pads to female athletes participating in the President's Running Shield. Yukti Shrestha, president of the foundation, personally presented the pads to the players.
