The host Fidim Sporting Club has entered the semi-finals of Falgunand Gold Cup. The host team secured their trip to the semi-finals after defeating Tribhuvan Army Club 4-2 in a tiebreaker in the last quarter-final held at the Fidim Mavi stadium on Monday.

After the scheduled 90 minutes ended in a tie, the decision was taken by Tybaker. In the tiebreaker, Ashish Chapagain, Vishal Darji, Ram Vaji and Niroj Lingden of Fidim Sporting Club scored goals, while Niraj Kumar Ghising and Santosh KC of Army scored only.

Tuesday there will be a competition between Machindra Football Club Kathmandu and New Star Sunsari. The final of the competition will be held on January 15. In this year's Falgunanda Gold Cup, the winner will get Rs 10 lakh 555 and the runner-up will get Rs 5 lakh 555.
