Buddh Vetran has won the title of the 4th Ward President's Cup Vetran Football Tournament. Buddh, who has been a constant participant since the first edition, succeeded to become the champion for the first time.
In the final of the tournament held on Monday in Chabhil, Buddh defeated Freedom Expert by 2-0 goals. Buddhist Sanjay Lama and Umesh Lama scored 1-1 goals. Umesh became the man of the final. Buddh got Rs 1 lakh and Freedom got Rs 50,000.
Nilendra Dewan of Freedom was declared Man of the Tournament in a competition organized by Kathmandu Metropolitan City Ward No. 7. Freedom's Prakash Rana was selected as the best player.
