Bhojpur has won the title of inter-district invitational men's volleyball tournament organized on the occasion of Pusay Mela. Bhojpur volleyball team won the title by defeating the defending champion Pathibhara Tiger Club Jhapa in straight sets in the tournament which was concluded on Friday evening.

Bhojpur defeated Jhapa by 25-21, 25-16 and 25-23 in the final match at Dobhan Bazar of Meringden Rural Municipality. While Bhojpur received 3 lakh cash including trophies and medals, Jhapa had to settle for 1 lakh 75 thousand.

Best spiker Sanjeev Bikram Shah Jhapa, best setter Manoj Ghimire of Bhojpur, best defender Santosh Rai Sabhapokhri Volleyball Club, best blocker Roman Basnet Bhojpur, best server Hemant Mall SMC and best player Vishnu Basnet Bhojpur. Semi-final and final stage matches were held on Friday.

Mukesh Memorial Club Taplejung and Sabapokhari Volleyball Club Sangkhuwasabha who were eliminated from the semi-finals  The organizer provided cash at the rate of 50,000 as consolation.
