With the help of captain Anjan Bisht's hat-trick, NRT has made it to the semi-finals of the Jhapa Cup football tournament being held in Birtamode.
NRT defeated Kathmandu League winners Chitlang FC by a wide margin of 5-1 to make it to the last four.
NRT's victory has completed the semi-final equation of the competition. NRT will play Rashtriya Jagriti Club of Itahari in the second semi-final. Before that, on Friday, Siraha's Salhesh FC and Church Boys United will compete in the first semi-final.
In the 13th minute of the match on Thursday, captain Anjan scored a goal from the foreigner Neymar's pass and gave the team the lead. Then in the 36th minute, Chitlang's defender Gaurav Shrestha fouled Anjan and NRT got a penalty. In that, Anjan scored a goal to make the game 2-0.
