Freedom Fighter Club 'A' and 'B' reached the semi-finals of the Fourth Ward President's Cup Veteran Football Tournament on Thursday.
Freedom 'A' defeated Hetounda by 4-2 goals. Rajkumar Ghising of the winner scored 2 goals and Milan Rai and Vikarn Shrestha scored 1 each. Hetaunda's Praveer KC and Ruchanman Singh scored 1 each. Freedom 'B' beat Chitwan by 2-0 goals. Both goals were scored by Nilendra Dewan of the winners.
In the tournament organized by Kathmandu Metropolitan City Ward 7, Jorpati FC and Buddh Vetran also reached the semi-finals.
Jorpati beat Chabhil Sports Club 'B' 2-0 in penalty shootout. The scheduled time was 2-2. With goals from Amir Lama and Umesh Lama, Buddhist defeated BBC Banepa by 2-0 goals. The semi-final will be between Freedom 'A' and 'B' and Jorpati and Buddh.
