They also won the second ODI against Hong Kong U-19. Nepal defeated Hong Kong U-19 by 226 runs at Moolpani Cricket Stadium. Chasing a target of 298 runs, Hong Kong lost all wickets in 29.4 overs and was reduced to just 71 runs.
Captain Shiv Mathur's 16 runs were the highest score for Hong Kong. Similarly, Arej Dar and Preet Mangukia scored 14/14 runs. Other batters could not score runs in double figures. Dayanand Mandal took 4 wickets for Nepal. He bowled 6 overs and spent only 17 runs keeping 2 over maidens. Similarly, Aparajit Paudel and Sibrin Shrestha took 2 wickets each. Santosh Yadav and Naren Bhatt also took 1/1 wicket.
Earlier, after winning the toss, Nepal batted first and scored 297 runs losing 9 wickets in the stipulated 50 overs. Sohail Kunwar scored the highest 81 runs for Nepal. Kunwar, who faced 109 balls, also hit 9 fours and 1 six. Similarly, Santosh Yadav scored 66 not out. He faced 54 balls and hit 5 fours. Similarly, Dilsad Ali contributed 41 runs.
Daniel Map took 3 wickets and Abdul Samad took 2 wickets for Hong Kong. Similarly, Tomas Alexander, Preet Mangukia and Harry Hudson took 1/1 wicket each.
With Wednesday's victory, Nepal has captured the 3 ODI series. On Tuesday, Nepal won the first match against Hong Kong by 3 wickets. The third ODI will be played on Friday.
