Bhakkanie Nembang at Coverdhall opening

The opening program of the Badminton Hall constructed in the District Coordination Committee Panchthar premises was scheduled. Member of the House of Representatives Vasantakumar Nembang was invited as the chief guest.

On January 18, 2080, when he went to participate in the program of CPN-UML in Taplejung, Nembang, who was undergoing treatment due to a sudden brain injury, was attending the official program after 10 months on Tuesday. That's why the people of the district present at the venue looked happy.

At 10 a.m., the car carrying Nembang arrived at the venue. Nembang was taken to the sofa after getting down from the car. The formal program began. The building was inaugurated by opening the curtain of inscriptions placed on the walls of the hall.

Nembang cut the ribbon hanging on the door with the help of his wife. He entered the hall with the help of a stick. Court Here was brought out slowly and placed on the guest's chair. After that, player Pavindra Yokpangden, who participated in the national sports competition representing the district and won the title, was given a certificate of appreciation by the hands of Nembang.

Now it was the turn of the chief guest to speak. Since Nembang was unable to speak, his wife Bhumika Subba was called for a speech. Bhumika reached the stage and started talking about Vasant's passion for the game of badminton and the role she played for the development of the sport. Tears began to flow from Nembang's eyes as he looked at his wife. He suddenly became emotional.

Private Secretary Ganesh Yonghang and Fidim 1 Ward President Gajadhar Bhattarai tried to handle it but it was difficult to handle it. After trying two or three times, he drank a glass of tea. Seeing Nembang, the only member of the House of Representatives representing the district, in this situation, the eyes of all present were filled with tears. Some were shocked, some started to wipe away tears. There was a sudden silence in the venue.

Nembang, who is undergoing brain injury treatment, has been closed since January 18, 2080. He has good hearing though. People know. He hesitates when he wants to say something. Nembang came to home district Panchthar two weeks ago after receiving treatment at various hospitals in Kathmandu and India.

When he was the Minister of Physical Infrastructure and Transport, the reconstruction of the Badminton Covered Hall owned by District Coordination Committee Panchthar was started from June 3, 2076. Although the construction work was completed on May 15, the inauguration was not done.

Badminton Association Secretary Mangal Begha said that the opening of the Covered Hall was delayed for 18 months from Nembang, who led the reconstruction. Nembang, who is also a badminton player, is the first person to institutionalize this game in Panchthar and inspire the youth to play.

After Nembang became the minister, the federal government arranged a budget of 128 million 91 thousand for the reconstruction of the hall on his own initiative. Tej Bahadur Tumbapo, President of Panchthar Badminton Association, expressed his sadness at not being able to play badminton in the new hall built according to Nemwang's concept.
