The organizer Himarshmi Nilo has made a winning start in the first Himarshmi Cup U-19 college/school valley-wide student volleyball tournament.
Himarshmi defeated Ganesh College in straight sets 25-12, 25-21 at the home court located in Tarkeshwar Municipality-9. Himarshmi Rato also played two matches but lost both. They lost 25-21, 18-25, 15-11 against Orient and 25-20, 20-25, 15-6 against NR College.
In other matches, Gitanjali beat Kalidevi Mavi 28-26, 25-14, Grameen Multiple Campus beat Gramseva 25-21, 25-19, Jai Multiple Campus beat Pasang Lhamu 25-11, 25-17, Laligurans took the lead 21-25, 25 -21, 15-9 and Newton beat Chanakya 25-16, 25-12. Tarkeshwar Municipality Mayor Krishnahari Maharjan inaugurated the
competition. Himarshmi's Founder Principal Lokendra Bahadur Khadka said that the top three teams will receive 25,000, 15,000 and 5,000 respectively. There are 21 teams competing in the Leaguecom Knockout competition.
