Laliguras National Academy and Greenland have won the title of the first JB Cup inter-school basketball tournament. Laligurans became champions in junior boys and Greenland senior girls.
Laligurans defeated Valley Public with a score of 27-23 in the junior boys final at the host JB School's court. Sahid Pun of Laliguras scored 17. Goldenpik was third. In the
girls' final, Greenland defeated Ferriland 35-30. Bihani Rai of Greenland scored 12. Eden Bridge Academy (EBA) came third.
Sargam Gurung of Laligurans in junior boys and Ahana Khadka of Greenland in girls were declared the most valuable players. Rohit Gurung from Laliguras in junior boys and Bihani Rai from Greenland in girls were selected as the best three pointers. Ashok Bick of Valley Public (50 score) and Karuna Bogti of Feriland (67 score) became the highest scorers in junior boys.
Paramount in junior boys and Newton won the disciplined team trophy in senior girls. Belmont Academy in junior boys and Navadikshit Pathshala in senior girls were adjudged the emerging team.
The winner was awarded by ex-minister Resham Lama, organizer JB Board of Directors Chairman Krishna Vasti, Pabson Central Vice President Thakin Kumar Gurung, JB Principal Narayan Roka and others.
