Basnet made use of Khmir Gilson Kandangwa's cross pass and hit the post. Darjeeling tied the game in the 22nd minute of the game. Devashish Rai beat two defenders from the middle and the shot bounced off the goalkeeper. He hit the ball again and turned it into a goal.
In the 68th minute of the game, Milan Rai, Jagurtika's striker, fouled the opposing goalkeeper Nigam Singh and left the field after receiving a red card. Limited to 10 players, Jagriti was then under pressure, but the excellent performance of goalkeeper Niraj Chaudhary managed to take the team to the semi-finals.
Goalkeeper Chaudhary was the player of the match. He received a cash prize of 10,000 rupees. According to the organizers, the third quarter final match on Wednesday will be between Church Boys United and Gorkha Boys Sports Club, Rupandehi.
