Deepak Bahadur Thapa has been elected as the president of the first session of the Gandaki Pradesh Hockey Association. The convention held on Friday elected a 9-member provincial committee under the leadership of Thapa.

Bal Bahadur Shahi is the vice-chairman of the committee, Ajay Chhetri is the secretary, Divya Pokharel is the joint secretary, Yaman Rasayli is the treasurer and the members are Raj Thapa, Ravikant Acharya, Ashok Gurung and Dudhprasad Gurung.  At the opening of the

convention, Central Vice President of Nepal Hockey Association Himal Khadka discussed the importance of the association and the contribution that the association will make to the development of the sports sector in the coming days. Keshav Pathak, executive member of Gandaki State Sports Council, expressed his belief that the activity of the association will further strengthen the development and coordination of sports.
