A win gave Real a chance to overtake Barcelona at the top. Now Real has 37 points from 17 games. Barcelona has 38 points from the same match. Federico Valverdo and Rodrigo scored for Real along with Bellingham.

Unai Lopez, Ablud Mumin and Isi Palejon scored for Valecano. In other games on Saturday, Sevilla beat Celta Vigo 1-0 and Marloca beat Girona 2-1. Espanyol and Osasuna played a goalless draw.

Marlowe is fifth on 27 points and is pushing for the top four. Athletico Bilbao is fourth with 32 points.
