The Thunder Bolts Cup 2024 sports competition has started from Saturday organized by James School.

More than 4,000 athletes from 140 schools within and outside the valley have participated in the comprehensive sports, which include 12 games.

Competitions will be held in basketball, football, volleyball, cricket, tennis, table tennis, archery, taekwondo, judo, chess, futsal and swimming. The sports and extracurricular activities department of James School has organized the competition with the main slogan of 'Dream, Believe, Achieve'.

In the competition that will last until December 9, the school that wins in various sports and multi-disciplines and gets the most points will be the winner of the Thunder Bolts Cup. The winner will receive a trophy with 5 lakhs, while the champion school for three consecutive years will capture the trophy.

Organizing coordinator Anit Pandey said that the purpose of organizing the competition is to develop a strong sports culture among schools in Nepal.

The Thunder Bolts Development Center sponsored and supported the tournament at James School's playground.
