Sirijanga Gold Cup to Udaipur

Brotherhood Football Club Udaipur has won the title of Sirijanga Gold Cup football tournament held in Tellok, the center of Sirijanga Rural Municipality. Brotherhood won by defeating Marik Football Club Sunsari in sudden death.

The match went to a tiebreaker after the score was tied at 2-2 at the scheduled time. The match went to sudden death after the tie breaker was tied at 5-5. Brotherhood's goalkeeper Saurabh Baral stopped the shot of Purna Chemjong of Marik Football Club and made the team victorious.  The Brotherhood received a trophy, medal and certificate with a statue of Sirijanga Singh Thebe along with 250,000 cash. The runner-up Marik Football Club had to settle for 1 lakh 25 thousand rupees.   The Brotherhood started the

competition. Akash Rai opened the goal account. Nivash Phuyal returned the goal and Marik equalized. For Marik, Nischal Lama made it 2-1 with a header. Brotherhood's Aaqab Rai scored his second personal goal to level the match again. 

Eight teams, including one from India, participated in the competition that started on November 23.
