Karan Rawal of Tribhuvan Army Club has won the title of open (Gorkha) marathon race from the famous religious place Mankamana to Gorakhkali temple. Bajhang native Rawal won the title by completing the set distance in 2 hours 36 minutes and 7 seconds. Rawal, who became the first, received a cash prize of 150,000.

Likewise, Homalal Shrestha of Tribhuvalan Army Club came second after crossing the prescribed distance in 2 hours 44 minutes 44 seconds, Gajendra Rai became third after crossing the prescribed distance in 2 hours 44 minutes 6 seconds. 1 lakh for the second place, 75 thousand cash prizes for the third place.  In the

competition, Govind Karki came fourth, Gopal Tamang fifth, Subas Karki sixth, Teelak Sunuwar seventh, Rajnamyounga eighth, Kul Bahadur Basnet ninth and Pratap Thamsohang tenth. They all belong to Tribhuvan Army Club.  In the

competition, the fourth runner-up got 60,000, the fifth runner-up 50,000, the sixth runner-up 40,000, the seventh runner-up 35,000, the eighth runner-up 25,000, the ninth runner-up 20,000 and the 10th runner-up 15,000 cash prizes. 

District Sports Development Committee President Krishna Singh (Shant) Basnet said that the running competition was organized with the aim of promoting religious and historical places.

The race started from Mankamana to Taklung, Tinmane Bhanjyang, Ghairung, Namjung, Kahule Bhangar (Lakhan Thapa Memorial), Bunkot, Dhunggade, Hospital Chowk, Harmatari Chowk, Bus Park, Kalobar Chautara, Tinchape Water Office, Paslang Chautara, Dharapani, BP Chautara, Big yard, satipal, gaihrikuwa, hanumandhoka (Gorakhkali Temple) reached Hanumanthan and ended. From Mankamana to Gorkha Durbar, the race was 42.195 km long.
