The 6th Ganeshman Singh Memorial National Open Kick Boxing organized by Lalitpur District Kick Boxing Association has started on Thursday in Chapagaon.
103 men and 49 women players from all seven provinces including three departmental teams Nepal Police, Army and APF are participating in the competition.
Godavari Municipality is the main sponsor of the competition, 6 for men and 5 for women are included in 11 competitions. The top three players in each competition will receive 30,000, 15,000 and 8,000 respectively. The gold winner will be given an honor mobile. The
team champion will get Rs 1 lakh, second runner-up Rs 50,000 and third runner-up Rs 25,000. The best male/female players will be awarded with 25,000 by Honor Mobile.

Reena Majhi of APF under 45 kg, Saru Rai of Budo Usuki, Asmita Dong Tamang of Tokha So Kyokushin and Karisma Karki of the organizer reached the semi-finals. Women under 60 kg Sumitra Nagarkoti of APF, Apsara Kumal of Army, Samneh Rajvi of Strongest Muwanthai and Meskumari Karki of Thulung Dudhkoshi made it to the semi-finals.
