Group sports festival started in Bhairahawa

The 'Collective Sports Festival-2081' has been started here from Wednesday, with around 1,300 students from Bhairahawa and surrounding areas competing in various sports.

The sports festival was organized by the collective school family Rupandehi with the slogan 'Sports for health, sports for life'. This festival is the 23rd series.

Group School Parivar Rupandehi President Basant Pandey said that the sports festival was organized for the physical and mental development of the students and to provide opportunities to the best students at the local, national and international levels. According to the organizers, about 1,300 students from 20 schools operating in Siddharthnagar, Omasatiya, Mayadevi, Tilottama and Rohini municipalities and rural villages are participating in the sports festival. game are divided into three groups. Out of which there are sub-junior levels for classes 1 to 3, junior levels for classes 4 to 6 and senior levels for classes 7 to 10. Based on height, sub-junior, up to 4.6 feet, junior level up to 5.3 feet and senior level students who have not reached the age of 18 will be allowed to participate in the game.  The

festival includes volleyball and various athletics games. In which, there are running competitions from 50 meters to 800 meters. Short foot, long jump, relay race competitions are also included. Boys and girls teams of all three levels will compete in all categories of sports.

Lumbini Province Health Minister Khem Saru inaugurated the sports festival held at the agricultural campus in Bhairawa on Wednesday.
