Red Star Club Jhapa has made it to the semi-finals of the second Eelam Gold Cup football tournament. Red Star defeated rival Machindra Football Club by 2-1.

Aditya Shakya scored a goal in the 35th minute for Red Star, who kept Machindra under pressure from the beginning. In the 70th minute, Machindra's Devendra Tamang scored and tied the game. Then the goal scored by Neeraj Karki from Red Star became decisive in the 81st minute of the competitive match. Red Star's Aditya Shakya was declared the player of the match. He received 8 thousand 100 rupees .

Hosts Redhorse Football Club will play against Church Boys Club on Wednesday . Redhorse secured their place in the last four by defeating Sankata Club and Church Boys against Tribhuvan Army Club. The winner will win a prize of Rs 10 lakh and the runner-up will win a prize of Rs 5 lakh.
