Church Boys Club defeated the departmental team Tribhuvan Army Club by 2-1 goals and secured the semi-final of the 2nd Eelam Gold Cup Football being held in Eelam.
Dabedar Army took the lead in the second minute with a penalty by Neeraj Chaudhary. Church Boys' Rohan Karki equalized in the 76th minute. After 7 minutes, Armando, a foreigner playing for Church Boys, scored the decisive goal. Rohan was declared the player of the match and received a prize of 8 thousand 100 rupees. Although the Church Boys were under pressure in the first half, they strategically trailed the Army after the break. The Church Boys will play host Redhorse Club Elamsag on Wednesday.
