The 6th city-level presidential running shield selection competition will be held in Tilottama Municipality from 27th. Lok Pun, Chairman of the City Sports Development Committee informed that 41 community and institutional schools in the city will participate in the 3-day competition organized by the City Sports Development Committee.
He said that there will be 54 games in five categories of athletics, kabaddi, volleyball, karate and taekwondo in the tournament which will be conducted at Tilottama-4, Janjyoti Sports Ground.
Municipal Education and Sports Branch Head Gangaram Acharya said that running shield is going to be organized with the aim of selecting the talent at the school level and taking the best players to the district level and including them in the provincial and national competitions. According to him, this Times Since the district level running shield will also be held in Tilottama municipality, this competition has been taken as a preparation. In the
competition, 26 for athletics, 12 for karate, 12 for taekwondo, 2 for volleyball and 2 for kabaddi. There will be 54 games. 100, 200, 400, 800, 1,500 and 3,000 meters race competition in the competition, Relay race, high jump, long jump, triple jump, javelin throw, shot put etc. are included.
