Taekwondo players from Nepal have won 8 medals including 4 gold in the Asian Police Taekwondo Championship held in Vietnam. It also has 1 silver and 3 bronze. Nisha Darnal and Jit Bahadur Bot won double gold medals in Pooms.

Their pair won gold in the under-30 doubles poomsae . Nisha under 30 years and Jit Bahadur won gold in men's under 30 individual poomses . Nisha won the gold by scoring 7.735, surpassing the score of the Vietnamese players (6.955). Jeet also scored 7.57 . Rival Vietnamese gave him a tough challenge by scoring 7.34 .

According to coach and team leader Ayesha Shakya, Rosen Prajapati has won gold in the under-17 junior individual pumice. He scored 7.285 to surpass the Korean. The Korean player scored 7.115 .

Prem Bahadur Limbu has won silver in under 30 single poomsae . In the under-30 competition, he was behind the Indonesian players (7.5). Prem scored 7.2 . Anjana Chaudhary and Ramila Lama won bronze medals in women's under-30 individual poomsae and Asmin Raut won bronze in men's under-30 individual poomsae .

Nepal won 8 medals in Taekwondo in Vietnam 771 players from 29 countries participated in the competition that lasted from December 6 to 9. Before that, seven players competed in the Hong Kong World Taekwondo Championship 2024 held in Hong Kong from November 29 to December 4. Along with Nisha, Asmin, Jeet, Prem, Rosen, Ayesha Shakya and Bablu Sivakoti also competed.

1,724 players from 77 nations participated in Hong Kong. Nisha reached the previous stage in the first round of the under-30 individual Pooms by stopping a player from Finland .  In the next round, she was defeated by an Indian player ranked ninth in the world. In the under-50 doubles Pumsey, Ayesha and Babloo got a walkover in Tunisia's absence . In the next round, they lost to the Iranian player .

Nepali team (Jit, Asmin, Prem) was defeated by Chinese Taipei in Team Pooms. In the last 16 competition, Nepal scored 7900 while Taipei scored 8000. Nisha and Prem lost to the Italian pair while Ayesha fell to the Canadian in the last 16 of the Under-40 Individual Pooms.
