The AFC Asia Cup Qualifiers have been placed in Group 'F'. Nepal got Vietnam, Malaysia and Laos as opponents in the 'draw' held at the headquarters of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) in Kuala Lumpur. This could prove to be a difficult group for Nepal.

In the group stage, each team will play each other twice, home and away.

According to the 'draw', Nepal will play against Malaysia on March 25, Malaysia on November 18 and Laos on June 10 and March 31 next year. Similarly, they will play against Vietnam on October 9 and 14. A total of 24 teams are participating in the selection and they are divided into 6 groups. The group winners will qualify for the 2027 Asia Cup in Saudi Arabia.

Qualifiers Group 'A' consists of Tajikistan, Philippines, Maldives and Timor-Leste, Group 'B' consists of Lebanon, Yemen, Bhutan and Brunei, Group 'C' consists of India, Hong Kong and Bangladesh, Group 'D' consists of Thailand, Turkmenistan , Chinese Taipei and Sri Lanka and Group 'E' consists of Syria, Afghanistan, Myanmar and Pakistan.
