Nawang Pasang Sherpa and Dawa Sonam Sherpa shine in the International Invitational Golf Series presented by Oma Emirates. Nawang and Dawa won their respective handicaps and qualified for the tournament in Dubai in January.
Nawang scored 42 on a handicap of 13 and over to win the title at the Gokarna Golf Club on Saturday. In 12 handicap, Dawa showed his best skills and won the title with 41 score. Along with them, Pawan Bisht will also play in Dubai. Pawan became the winner in the chipping competition. Both
categories saw high competition. In the 13 and above handicap, Fursang Lama was second with 37 points and Aarti Rana was third with 36 points. Gaurav Shah was second with 36 points and Jigme Dangstetsang was third with 34 points in handicap under 12. Sonam Norbu Lama won the Closest to the Pin category while Praveen Shahi Thakuri won the Longest Drive title.
Sunil Karki emerged winner of the 10th hole Beat the Pro competition out of 19 players. A total of 98 golfers competed in the tournament, which was played on a 3/4 handicap basis in a stable format. Oma Emirates organized the tournament to support the development of Nepali golf.
