Kathmandu Gurkhaz won the toss and decided to field first against Karnali Yaks in Nepal Premier League (NPL) cricket on Wednesday.

After winning the toss, Kathmandu captain Karan KC invited Karnali to bat at the Trivi Cricket Ground in Kirtipur.

In the team of Kathmandu, one player has been changed from the team that played the previous match. Leg-spinner Nathan Souter is playing in place of all-rounder Dan Douthwaite. Karnali has replaced leg spinner Mausam Dhakal with Devrehate spinner Bipin Sharma who came from the talent hunt.

From Kathmandu, Michael Levitt, Stephen Eskenazi, Shankar Rana, Bhim Sarki, Sumit Maharjan, Gerard Erasmus, Karan, Rashid Khan, Nathan Souter, Shahav Alam and Deepesh Cadel are playing in the playing 11.

Similarly, Dev Khanal, Shikhar Dhawan, Chadwick Walton, Babar Hayat, Jason Maqsood, Gulshan Jha, Arjun Gharti, Sompal Kami (Captain), Bhuvan Karki, Nandan Yadav and Bipin Sharma are playing from Karnali. 

Kathmandu was defeated by Chitwan Rhinos by 5 wickets in the first match and Janakpur Bolts by 8 wickets in Karnali's first match.
