The election general meeting of Nepal Olympic Committee (NOC) will be held on December 13. The special general meeting held on Tuesday of the committee has also revised the term of leadership.

More than two-thirds of the members have amended the term of office of the president and secretary-general and other points in the statute.

Now the chairman and general secretary of the committee will be able to become the chairman and general secretary for four terms. The four terms have been decided on the advice and guidance of the International Olympic Committee (IOC). Jeevanram Shrestha, chairman of the

committee, responded that the amendment was made according to the charter of the IOC. The committee had sent a letter to the IOC for permission to amend the constitution. 

With this, the committee has now formally entered the election process. There is an instruction that the election of the committee should be completed by December. 26 out of 27 members in the general meeting held at the NOC headquarters in Satdobato; were present. 20 members voted in favor of the amendment while one member remained neutral.

One member voted against while four members abstained from voting. Nilendraraj Shrestha of triathlon association, Dhruva Bahadur Pradhan of gymnastics, Umeshlal Shrestha of hockey and Sunillal Shrestha of fencing are not participating. Volleyball's Manreshan Raman Sharma remained neutral, while football's Galikkumar KC voted against. 

The special general meeting has also revised the age provision for the committee's working committee candidature. Accordingly, the age limit of the candidate has been increased from 70 to 75 years. The Committee also adopted the National Union Affiliation and Membership Procedure 2081 of the Member Associations.
