Six sports associations on Sunday demanded that the Nepal Olympic Committee (NOC) grant them membership. Equestrian, Skating and Stakeboarding, Baseball and Softball, Climbing Sports, Rugby and Ice Hockey Associations have asked for NOC membership at a press conference.
In a press conference, President of Nepal Horsemen's Association Raviraj Karnikar claimed that the NOC is letting them down.
He said that lack of NOC membership has affected international participation. The six associations have also accused the NOC of not giving them membership despite being recognized by the international federation.
NOC's general meeting is being held on Tuesday to approve the Olympic Constitution. Two days before that, those six unions tried to pressurize by holding a press conference.
