Nepal's victory over Maldives in SAFF Women's Championship football was special. That game was also special because of the goal. The score was 11-0. Nepal's team was under pressure after a goalless draw against Bhutan in their first match of Group B.

As much as the players were panicking, why couldn't they really score? In the end, Bhutan was such a rival, whom Nepal used to beat with ease. 

However, after defeating Maldives, Nepal is back on the right track again. Now Nepal can think about becoming the group winner. Jamuna Gurung

Jamuna Gurung is credited with scoring the first hat-trick for Nepal in women's international football. She is the first 'true legend' of Nepali women's football. And the third captain. Under his leadership, Nepal 

participated in women's football in the 2010 South Asian Games. She scored her first hat-trick in the 8-1 win over Sri Lanka in Dhaka. She has scored a total of 5 hat-tricks so far. She became the first Nepali player to score five hat-tricks. This is a great feature of Jamuna's sporting life. She was also a member of the team when Nepal played the AFC Women's Championship in 1999. 

Anu Lama

After Jamuna, the name of the player with the same number of hat-tricks comes, Anu Lama. He also got a chance to lead the Nepalese team. Savitra Bhandari had the record of most goals in her name. Anu has also scored exactly 5 hat-tricks. The first hat-trick was achieved in the same South Asian Games held in Dhaka in 2010. That is in the match against Pakistan.

2010 was the year in which Jamuna and Anu took seven hat-tricks in turn for Nepal. Anu has scored 34 goals for Nepal. In this process, she established a 'benchmark'. 

Savitra Bhandari 

The name that comes after Jamuna and Anu is Savitra Bhandari. That is 'Samba'. He has four hat-tricks to his name. He is at the peak of his playing career. So sure, she will grab the fifth hat-trick soon. And it will be overtaken later. Perhaps, when he ends his playing career, it is not long before the record of goals scored is in his name.

Her first hat-trick was made possible in 2016, when she scored six goals against Bhutan in Siliguri. It is also the record for most goals scored by a single player in a single match. It is a fact that everyone knows about her, she has scored 53 goals.  The

Then individual 5 goal performances. He has scored 9 goals for Nepal. Soon he will become one of the few players who will touch the double digit of goals.
