The Chief Minister of Karnali Province, Yamlal Kandel, has said that he has faith and trust in Karnali for the 10th National Sports Tournament.
During the discussion and consultation program with the stakeholders regarding the preparation of the competition held in Birendranagar on Saturday, Chief Minister Kandel said that the organization of the competition will be appreciated by the country and abroad.
He said that the countdown for the sports competition has already started and urged everyone not to weaken the management. According to the scheduled time, the competition will be held from 2nd to 9th of November. Until then, according to the current situation, Chief Minister Kandel said that the management was weak.
Directing the Sports Council to show efficiency from the received budget, he reached places and drew attention not to make various demands. He informed that the work to be done is being done by the representative of the government on behalf of the government. Expressing the situation of weak internal income, Chief Minister Kandel promised to try his best to explain the situation to the players and not let them get disappointed.
Economic Affairs and Planning Minister Rajeev Vikram Shah said that sportsmen's complaints against the government have increased due to lack of sports activities for a long time. He said that in order to make the 10th National Sports Competition a success, the responsibility according to the role should be fulfilled. The Ministry of Economic Affairs and Planning pledged not to allow shortfalls in the management of the budget, etc. Social Development Minister Ghanshyam Bhandari, who also presided over the
program, informed that the work to be done on his behalf is being increased internally to include more games among the scheduled competitive games. He clarified that two major responsibilities in the competition are on the shoulders of the provincial government.
He said that it is a challenge to organize a national sports competition and that Karnali should get two medals. He said that preparations are being made for the necessary management including the budget required for this, closed training to be given to the players. He directed the Provincial Sports Development Council to ensure that there are no shortages on the part of the management.
