National Paralympic Committee Nepal has provided 2 lakh 15 thousand rupees for the preparation of Paris Paralympic training. Radha Ghale, the president of the Paralympic Committee, handed over the check of the amount to Bhan Bahadur Chand, vice president of the Nepal Taekwondo Association on Wednesday.

Ghale informed Palesha Govardhan that the money was provided for preparatory training for the Paris 2024 Paralympics.

Palesha from the Asian Olympic and Paralympic selection held in China's Taiyan in the first week of March  She was selected for the Paris Paralympics. By winning the gold, she became the third player in Nepali sports history to be selected for the Olympics from the selection competition.

Palesha, who has played in the Tokyo 2020 Paralympics, also won a bronze medal in this year's Hangzhou Para Asiad in China.  

Palesha is scheduled to come to Nepal on Baisakh 2 from Shanghai, China to train for the Paris Paralympics, according to team manager Ramchandra Shrestha. She is in Shanghai for higher education studies.
