Army's Deepak Adhikari and Dhading's Santoshi Shrestha won gold in the half marathon, the main event of the Right to Protein Run, on Saturday. Deepak stood first in men and Santoshi in women.

Deepak, the double gold winner of the Asian Cross Country Athletics Championship, completed the prescribed distance of 21 km in 1 hour 7 minutes 33 seconds. APF's Gopichandar Parki was second in 1 hour 7 minutes 42 seconds and Parbat Thirtha was third in 1 hour 7 minutes 43 seconds.

Saag gold winner (10,000 meters race) and Dhaka Marathon (42.195 km) gold winner Santoshi took 1 hour 20 minutes 19 seconds to complete the prescribed distance. Rammaya Budha of Nepal Police came second in 1 hour 21 minutes 56 seconds and Pushpa Bhandari of APF, the gold winner of Dhaka Marathon, came third in 1 hour 23 minutes 02 seconds.

Army players dominated the men's open 10 km race of the competition organized by Nepal Veterinary Association. Mukesh Bahadur Pal finished the race in 31 minutes 18.57 seconds and became the first. Sanjay Shrestha (31 minutes 24.14 seconds) was second and Rajendra Rai (31 minutes 34.38 seconds) was third.

Army's Srijana Pandey became the first to complete the women's open 5 km distance in 21 minutes 30 seconds. Police's Rajpura Pachai (21 minutes 38 seconds) came second and Army's Nirmala KC (22 minutes 30 seconds) came third.
