Law Minister Sobita Gautam said that 166 bills will be presented in the parliament in the fiscal year 2083-84 and the agenda with their priorities has been sent to the federal parliament. She stated this fact while speaking in the parliament.
Minister Gautam said that according to the agenda, the target is to present 97 new bills and 69 bills to amend existing acts in the parliament. She also said that 64 bills are on the first priority.
She said that 15 bills have been prepared by the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers and all 15 bills have been prepared by the Ministry of Finance. She also said that a tracking system has been created to monitor the drafting of the bills.
Minister Gautam also informed that the Ministry of Law has launched a portal called 'Know Your Law, Make Your Law' so that the general public and stakeholders can give suggestions and that 400 suggestions have been received on it.
