Former Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai has said that the older generation should help the new generation by transferring its knowledge, experience and skills for the country's economic development and prosperity. At a book launch event held in Kathmandu on Monday, he emphasized that the experience of the older generation and the knowledge and skills based on science and technology of the new generation should be used by connecting them with the country's resources and means. He said that some are currently questioning his closeness to the National Independent Party and that he is helping to realize the agenda of development and prosperity that he has been raising for five decades. 'Some have asked what it is trying to find with the Rashtriya Swatantra Party. What I have been saying for the past 50 years is what it is trying to find. Development and prosperity must be brought now. Our generation must help them. We must transfer the knowledge and skills that we have,' he said.
He also claims that in the current era of science and technology, political organizations created for the fight for political rights and rights are useless. He further said, 'Parties are organizations created yesterday for the fight for political rights and rights. Now, in the era of science and technology, will that weapon be useful? That is why a new generation is coming forward with new weapons. Only by supporting them can the country develop and prosper.'
