Commenting on the working style of the government and the ruling party, Congress MP Yubaraj Sharma has said that the country will not run on populism and film style. Speaking in the National Assembly meeting held on Wednesday, MP Sharma accused the government of not being serious about solving the country's contemporary problems. Taking special time to speak in the meeting, MP Sharma presented the data that more than 200,000 children in the age group of 1 to 5 years are suffering from malnutrition in the country. Targeting the Rashtriya Swatantra Party (RSWP), he asked, 'While consuming 8 quintals of meat every day in their general convention, did the RSWP leaders and ministers remember the faces of those malnourished children or not?'

Stating that the government is indifferent to the problems of farmers, he drew the government's attention to the fact that poultry farmers who suffered losses due to bird flu in Chaitra last month have not received compensation. Raising the issue of the slum dwellers who arrived in Kathmandu, he asked the Prime Minister, 'Does the Prime Minister call them a miser or a miserly Nepali? This needs to be clarified.'

MP Sharma also strongly objected to the government's proposed bill on vehicles and transport. Commenting that the bill was brought under the influence of a South Indian film, he demanded that the provisions of harsh penalties in it be corrected.'

'The country does not run on films and film dialogues, nor does it run on applause and abuse,' Sharma said, 'The government should get rid of such a 'hangover' as soon as possible.'
