UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli has said that there is a need for all democrats, leftists and patriots to engage in a joint struggle with practical unity. Addressing the UML Capital Province-level Election Review and Party Reorganization Consultation Program at the party central office, Chyasal on Tuesday, Chairman Oli said that a joint struggle is necessary to restore the hijacked democracy. He said, 'All democrats, leftists and patriots who are against the disintegration in the country should engage in a joint struggle with practical unity.' Chairman Oli also urged the leaders and workers not to fall into that illusion that there is no possibility of party unity at present. 'We will not do group and institutional unity, but we will work to generously include individuals and groups who join the party by getting them into the party,' he clarified. Chairman Oli said that purity is required in party unity and that this has not been seen in the past. He said, 'In the name of unity, self-interest, alliances and manipulation were seen.'

'The election on Falgun 21, 2082 is a drama staged to legitimize the crimes committed on Bhadra 23 and 24,' Chairman Oli said that it is clear that the commission was formed to cover up those crimes as the Gauri Bahadur Karki Commission report does not mention who fired the shots on Bhadra 23 and why the security mechanisms were ineffective in the incidents of the two days.

He said that the incidents of Bhadra 23 and 24 were an attack and conspiracy against the constitution, democracy and us, and urged not to be misled into thinking that the disturbance was a youth rebellion or movement. Chairman Oli said that in the context of party reorganization, inactive party committees can be reorganized to make them active.

Chairman Oli emphasized the need for unity, unity again, and even stronger unity in the party, and suggested suggestions on what should be done to move the party towards victory at a time when enemies are attacking.
