NCP coordinator Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said that cooperation among the leftists should be done soon. Speaking at a program organized in Kathmandu on Sunday to mark the 75th birth anniversary of Madan Bhandari, Dahal said that delaying cooperation among the leftists would cause great harm.
‘In this situation, the leftists should unite against autocracy and foreign pressure without delay. Delaying will be a big mistake. I did not say let’s unite tomorrow. If cooperation is possible, let’s do it today, tomorrow, and in parliament, on the streets and in the elections. If we delay, the accident will be terrible,’ he said, ‘We have to unite for cooperation. We came together for socialism in 2074. We approved it by giving two-thirds of the vote for unity. Today, I am in favor of reviewing it once again. I am not in favor of unification without review. We should not cry in haste and unity in our free time.’ He said that we have achieved success together against Panchayan and autocracy.
He stressed the need for cooperation as national sovereignty is in crisis.
‘A major political event, a revolutionary event, is growing in the country. National sovereignty is in crisis. The government is preparing to attack the fundamentals of the constitution and the oppressed classes,’ he said.
