UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli has said that there was a regressive conspiracy on Bhadra 23 and 24. He said that the conspiracy illegally displaced the legitimate government.
At a program on ‘Nepal’s Communist Movement and People’s Leader Madan Bhandari’ organized in Kathmandu on Sunday to mark the 75th birth anniversary of people’s leader Madan Bhandari, he termed the Gen-G generation’s movement as a regressive conspiracy.
‘The conspiracy was made by primarily targeting Nepal’s leftist movement and not only the leftist movement, but also the democratic movement, the patriotic movement, and democracy. This cannot be a democratic movement,’ he said, ‘to form a government, to overthrow it, to change the government, to do everything, to dissolve the parliament unconstitutionally. It is not possible to form an unconstitutional government by dissolving the legitimate government. But that happened in Nepal.’
He also said that they would introspect if they had any shortcomings. "But the comment that we ruined the country is wrong. We didn't ruin it, we moved forward. Let's look at the parameters," he said.
