Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) Chairman Rajendra Lingden has claimed that the ruling party Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSWP) will fall.

At a program organized in Kathmandu on Saturday, he claimed that the RSWP will fall. He also said that the RPP needs to change itself to establish itself as a strong alternative force. ‘The Rastriya Swatantra Party is going to fall. But then, in order for us to rise, we will have to radically change our current activities, our methods, our structure. We must change our organizational structure, our working style, and we will go,’ he said, adding, ‘We have to give the general public the message that the Rastriya Prajatantra Party has changed and improved. We must now be ready for such activities.’

He said that there is a need for radical changes in the party’s organization, working style and thinking, and that even though the people did not give the RPP a large vote, they maintained it as a national party with the belief that a political alternative was needed in the country. He said that despite all these challenges, the RPP has maintained its status as a national party, claiming that there have been various attempts to prevent the party from becoming a national party.

He said that the party should give the message to the people that the RPP has changed and improved by making extensive reforms in its organizational structure, working style and activities. He stressed on ending factional politics within the party and giving priority to unity, mutual trust and relations with the people. He instructed the leaders and workers to strengthen the party by taking the people along with them instead of following the leader.

'Now, we should not hold the tail of any leader of the faction or faction and stay in this party, but we should hold the hands of the people and join hands with the people to stay in this party and strengthen the party,' he said. Chairman Lingden also directed the party workers to join the general convention. The RPP general convention has been scheduled for the upcoming November 26, 27 and 28.
